Embden Lake, Cottages on the Hill (#8901)

This was a perfect place for a quiet weekend for my husband and I. The cabins are situated on the hillside with a great view of the water, but far enough away to mute all the power boats, jet skis, etc. If you are a fussy person, do not worry about the basic brown board look on the outside of the cabins. Inside the cabins are spotless, with pretty knotty pine and berber carpets. The flowers and yard art is beautiful without being too formal. The spot down on the water is private and natural. We took the canoe out but there are a lot of camps on the lake, so we went back to our favorite spot below the cabins.
