My story: Mom and daughter scouting colleges ( FIT and Parsons), from the South (GA). We have traveled out of the country many times but never to NY for some reason. I was more nervous about this trip than any before for some reason. I needed to feel some comfort of home while I was visiting so decided against a hotel and Im telling you it was the best decision made. John the owner of the apartment is a super nice guy and made me feel relaxed about our experience. He was very accommodating while we were there and talked to us about the basics of the city. The apartment was immaculate and perfect for two people. We were two streets away from Time Square but yet the apartment is on a nice quiet street so we got the best of both worlds. The apartment building has full time security, not that I felt threatened at any time but it was a nice feeling to know someone is there watching. The apartment is a gem, honestly smoke and pet free which I loved. Dont even think about sneaking around those rules. The transit was a new thing for us but very convenient to get to from the apartment. The subways are everywhere and there are maps in the apartment to use as needed. We picked up a few things from the store so we could have snacks and drinks but mostly ate out. Everything is at your doorstep or so close its wonderful.Restaurants, bakerys, drug stores, theaters, you name it, right at your feet. No wonder so many people fall in love with NY. I felt safer in NY than I do in Atlanta!
