Additional Comments:
We had one of the best vacation weeks we’ve had in years during our recent stay at the Icicle House. The property is awesome: a huge lawn stretches down from the house to the imposing Catskill Creekand and it’s right in the middle of the magnificent scenery and history of the Catskills!
If you love unusual and original architecture, you’ll love the house itself. The roof molding is completely unique! The exterior has been completely restored to its mid-19th century appearance. The interior is a very successful integration of original detail with modern conveniences.
The kitchen was new and well stocked with dishes, cutlery and pots and pans. Same with linens and towels.
I really loved the owners: Robb and Joanne. Totally cool people who were very friendly and accommodating. One of their best tips was a restaurant within walking distance called The Kitchen, I think. The food was wholesome and made with the freshest ingredients and the service was great.
