great fishing and relaxation | The lake is outstanding for fishing and canoeing or kayaking with two small islands to visit. The water was almost always very calm. In four days our young boys caught about forty fish, including three giant large-mouth bass. Most of these were caught right off the dock. The house is charming and well-supplied and cared for, and the location quiet and ideal for adults and children. The water is shallow and easy for younger children to enjoy with water shoes and a net to catch some of the smaller fish living near the water's edge. You can hear the loons on the lake, watch ospreys and an eagle dive for fish, enjoy the campfire, and picnic outside. Given the combination of wildlife and setting, we would love to return for another visit. |
