Family Retreat | My family and I were looking for a relaxing end to a busy summer and we found it. The lake house is comfortable and inviting. It provided plenty of room for our large family of five kids, my wife and I. My kids range from age 6 to 18 and they all had a great time. The lake is serene and very clean. We used the paddle boat and slide constantly and fished both from the dock just out the lakeside door and our small boat, there is easy access to a boat ramp less than 1/2 mile from the house. We spent a little time both in Canton, MO and Keokuk IA (both less than a 30 minute drive)Usually, at vacations end, we say it's good to be home...not this time. If you are looking for relaxation on a pretty lake with excellent accomadations this place is great, and the Shehans were very accommodating and excellent to deal with. |
