Overall enjoyed our stay | Overall I would say it was as the ad said, a charming beach house. The house was very well kept and clean, the furniture and appliances worked wonderfully. We loved the outdoor patio and jacuzzi. The kitchen had everything that we needed for a week stay. It was great that they had beach toys, kid toys, videos and a pack and play there ready for us to use. The landlord was very nice to deal with and responded very promptly to all of our questions. The beach there was wonderful--not crowded at all, a lot of the times we were the only ones swimming. We unfortunately were visiting during a "warm spell" so the lack of air conditioning made it a bit uncomfortable--we were unable to have our son sleep upstairs as planned due to it being so hot. We had all of the windows open and the small fans that were provided, but it was still very warm and stuffy in the loft. So we would recommend going during a cooler time in the season. The walk to the beach wasn't bad--or you could even drive and park there if you had lots of beach equipment (which we did). We have a four year old and a 17 month old. The stairs to the kids loft were a bit steep for kids and we had to constantly watch them in that area. The throw rugs were somewhat of a tripping hazard for the 17 month old, but we understand why they were needed (due to the type of floor and sand). Overall we would stay there again, during a cooler season and when our kids are a little older and less likely to trip/fall. |
