A fine retreat | We have just returned to Ontario from Green Valley, Arizona, where we stayed in this excellent property for the month of March. We both very much appreciated the thought and care that had gone into preparing the house for tenants by the owners. While situated in a neighbourhood much like many of the more attractive subdivision developments in any North American town, it did not feel like a home in any ordinary old subdivision. First, it was wonderfully quiet. Second, it is located on the edge of what is essentially desert-like landscape which is teeming with interesting birds, from roadrunners to quail to hummingbirds to oriole to pyrrhuloxia—a bird watcher’s haven. The house is pleasantly furnished and is provided with everything you need to simply walk in and start enjoying your vacation. We’ve rented vacation homes many times before in many different parts of the world – this is one that totally lives up to the description on the web and more than met our expectations. |
