It was the best of times!!! | We totally enjoyed the two weeks spent at our rental. The beach was beautiful. We used the home as a base for day trips all around the area. Day trips to Beara, Dingle pennisula, Killarney and many walks in and around the Ballinskelligs. We hiked up Bolus Head, to the old Abbey and graveyard. Spent a day on Valencia Island. On one of our walks we picked a large pan full of blackberries and used a recipe from one of the two books at the home and baked a wonderful blackberry cobbler served with cream. The home was a great place to spend everyother day just relaxing between side trips. It will be one of our most memorable vacations. Almost forgot the great times at Rosie's pub in Dungegan and Cable's just a few steps up the beach. The area folks were so warm and friendly and proved a great resource for ideas on small area roads to travel. |
