Great week at the Deer House..... | We had a wonderful stay for 8 days at the Deer House! The house is about three miles from downtown Mercer, which is a quaint little town. The house itself is equipped wonderfully. We WAY overpacked, as all sheets, towels, beach towels, beach chairs, etc. are provided. The kitchen is equipped so well that we easily made a gourmet meal for six one evening. The TV is adequate with basic satellite channels. There were video games, but we're not into those so I cannot comment. GREAT beach area for kids. Wonderful swimming. Lake is very suitable for some boating and fishing. Overall, completely thrilled with our stay. Aside from older carpeting (it was clean and smelled fine, but simply older), the rest of the house is wonderful. And since the older carpet allowed our dog to come, it was WELL worth it!!! The house is PERFECT. Feel free to contact me directly with any questions.
