Perfect family get-away! | We wanted a cool retreat from the Texas heat, free from crowds, noise and traffic. We found that at fabulous Bear Cub Cabin in Crested Butte. These words come to mind when describing our impressions: Clean and well designed for a few or many,with upscale furnishings and warm homey touches; kitchen well equipped for cooking anything you can dream up; we had a bonfire and marshmallow roast outside under the stars one cold and crispy night; our 3 and 4 year olds loved rolling down the "hill" in the yard and doing cartwheels and sommersaults, hiking on the property to find the old hunters cabin hidden in the woods. Games at the big dining table got so raucous I came close to saying they were "TABOO" so we could get some sleep! Great view of the Butte, surrounded by hills trees, no other house near or in sight.Outdoors, the deck was the gathering place at dusk where we told stories and energized from the late afternoon reading/ napping lull. And, a .9 mi walk finds fun in CRESTED BUTTE! |
