Sat Aug 2		Quiet and Serene	Alpine Retreat offers a very quiet haven to relax and enjoy family. We spent evenings usually playing games and we could be quite noisy as there are hardly any neighbors. The only drawback is the house advertised as sleeping 11 (we had 9), but there weren't sufficient dishes for us for our meals. Likewise for utensils. There were plenty of towels, blankets and sheets. I suspect the owner will take care of this, since we addressed this with them. The house has lots of deck area. If you come, bring extra lawn chairs to sit out, as there were only about 4 outdoor chairs. We also enjoyed Rumbling Bald Resort and Chimney Rock very much. If you have kids, be sure to bring water shoes, since the kids love to stomp through the streams!
