Where I hope to hang my hat again soon | Whidbey Island, WA, USA – couple of years ago I had no idea where this place was. For my young age I have travelled quite a lot and I still have a lot to travel. I am very well aware that there are many amazing places hidden to general knowledge. The moment I set my foot in the West Beach Rd. house on Whidbey Island, I knew this was one of them. A Czech writer once said that home is where you hang your hat. I did hang my hat in the West Beach house, although it is quite a trip from Prague to Whidbey and I believe to be back there one day soon, to hang my hat there again. When I look at my pictures from the West Beach from time to time I feel a bit the wind coming from the ocean, the rays of the Sun setting behind the small islands, the sound of waves hitting the rocky beach, the scream of the seagulls, the warmth of the house. One would have to be senseless not to enjoy all of it and not to be eager to go back there soon. |
