The highs and lows | The Alexander Hotel was beautiful! Loved - the beach, the pool, the gym, the lobby, the staff & valets. Liked - the room (see lower for details), the gym (no elipticals). Didn't like - high cost of drinks/food, had to rent beach chairs & umbrella (although room had 2 beach lawn chairs and a small beach umbrella for use), view from balcony. The room was spacious and the bathrooms and kitchen were recently updated and were quite nice. On the surface eveything was nice but if you looked closer there was more that was due for updating (balcony doors & others). Our balcony faced north and overlooked a service alley and faced another building, so not the best view but there was a pleasant breeze off the ocean and you could see the ocean from the balcony. Overall, the experience at the Alexander Hotel was great and I would visit again and definately recommend to anyone looking to spend some time in the Miami/Miami Beach area! Keep in mind that a car is needed to get around this |
