The Perfect Beach House Experience | This is a special place. The main house is lovely -- open, airy, beautifully furnished, comfortable with one of those wide wrap-around porches that beckon you to sit, read, relax, chat. I ended up spending almost a whole day in this incredible spot. The grounds are also lovely -- the pool, the lawn and being one block from a quiet, almost private-feeling beach was incredible. The "cottage" is also an incredible place–a jewel in the crown. It's also an open, airy space with it's own entrance, pool(s) and rock stream. The property is truly a paradise and Shelter Island is really magical. Once you get on the ferry, you really feel that you're "away." I had a wonderful time here. |
