Island adventure or relaxation, you choose | My sweetheart and I made the trip to the Abacos not quite knowing what to expect. Once we arrived, we understood why people visited here. The people of the island are extremely nice and hospitable and I felt welcome everywhere I went. We spent almost everyday snorkeling in the crystal clear blue waters or shell collecting on the picture postcard worthy beaches. Getting around town is easy with the gas powered golf carts (and a whole lot of fun) with the big knobby tires for traction. The 2 story condo we stayed in had all the creature comforts of home with TV, DVD, CD player, ice cold a/c and a blender for the perfect tropical smoothies. We ate breakfast and lunches there in the full kitchen and usually went out for dinner at one of the island’s restaurants. Waking up in the morning from the second story bedroom to the breathtaking view of the sea made me want to sell my house, quit my job, and move to the islands. While there, you have to visit Miss Emily’s Blue Bee Bar. |
