Mon Oct 5		Relaxing time!	We really enjoyed our stay at the Long Hope! The weather was gorgeous, so we spent a lot of our time exploring the grounds around the house. October was such a beautiful time to go, as the leaves were beginning to change. Actually, it was hard to get us to leave and venture out of the house because we had fun cooking together in the spacious kitchen, playing the piano, having a glass of wine in the outdoor hot tub, and just enjoying the overall feeling of peace. Ron was most helpful and made sure everything was taken care of beforehand. A couple of sidenotes: the road up to the house can be steep and has a few pot holes. We managed to get there safely in a Prius though!! Also, know the rules of pond usage in case your party wants to fish there. It's easier to go to Boone for supplies (15 min) than West Jefferson. If you get a chance, visit Todd General Store on Friday night for country cooking and good bluegrass. Beautiful pictures to take as well!! Enjoy and rent with confidence! :)
