We loved it! | There's no other way to describe our vacation. "Sonia" is a circa 1920's cottage set on a green lawn that slopes down to the lake. When you have breakfast you can watch people trolling for trout or see the widening circles made by the loons as they dive for food. You may want to go out in the canoe that comes with the rental and catch your own dinner! Late morning usually found us visiting one or another of the attractions in this White Mountains region like the bear show at Clark's Trading Post in the nearby town of Lincoln, or climbing Mt. Washington on the auto route. Our car is proudly sporting its "I Climbed Mt. Washington" sticker! Then in the afternoon we hung out by the lake. There's just a little beach, but we just laid our towels on the grass and let all of our cares float away on the water. It was a lovely time. |
