Sun Jun 3 Lovely little flat We really enjoyed this apartment. Covent Garden is centrally located for sightseeing and stays up later than the rest of London. The apartment is clean, comfortable, and really cute--it feels like a home, not a rental. (I'm going to copy the way they hung the mirrors...) Nice strong shower and firm bed, cozy couch. Even though it's small, there's still plenty of room to flop down with a book or eat a meal--we highly recommend getting gourmet groceries at Marks & Spencer Food Hall near the tube station. The owners are really great and attend to your every need. Such a great deal, especially when compared to the disgusting hotel room you would get for the same amount of money.
Sun Jun 3 Fantastic Flat for Sightseeing I just spend 9 nights here and it was excellent. The apartment is cute, clean, bigger than I would have thought, and has everything you could possibly need--all the details are considered, and the owner returns calls and emails promptly. The location, near Great Portland Street tube, is great for shopping at Oxford/Regent/Carnaby Streets and for walking in Regent's Park. Marleybone High Street and Charlotte Street are two cute neighborhoods near by, and there's a fancy Italian market, a Pret sandwhich shop, and a Starbucks on the next block. We wound up spending a lot of time in the immediate area, it was so charming. It's really nice to have such an inviting living/dining area if you like to eat some meals at home, or just stay home and watch telly when you can't handle the London crowds anymore. There is a tiny bit of street noise in the bedroom, but we drowned it out with a fan and slept soundly. It's actually a pretty quiet area considering how central it is. I would recommend this flat to anyone--it's so much nicer than a hotel, and a better value.
