Great Location; Nice Apartment | This is very nice apartment in a wonderful, safe, energetic area of the Upper West Side. The location cannot be beat -- close to the Park, AMNH and other popular venues. Shopping, transporation and restaurants of all types are close-by and accessible. (I appreciated ESSENTIALS PLUS on Broadway near 81st -- a small store front opens to a cavernous drugstore/small foodstore/ice cream shop/candy store with a huge TOYSTORE upstairs, complete with a train table for young kids our kids LOVED IT. Prices reasonable too. Then walk up a few blocks for street venders selling nice fresh veggies/fruit.) The apartment itself is quite comfortable, with an excellent small kitchen and eating area and comfortable rooms with AC. The bathroom is quite small and not quite up to the standards of the balance of the apartment, but certainly nothing problematic. Tony and Elaine remained in e-mail contact prior to arrival and then phone contact -- very thoughtful [let us check in 1 hr early]. Enjoy! |
