Wed Nov 4		Awesome!!	This is more beautiful, romantic, peaceful and just plain awesome than you can imagine! My husband & I were looking for something within easy driving distance of San Diego for a long weekend to celebrate our anniversary, and being environmentalists, we particularly liked the idea of staying in an "eco-friendly" house. We were even more interested to see it after listening to the description of how it was built: All of the walls are recycled, discarded car tires! But, except for the rounded front corners, there is not even any indication tires were used at all. Very neat! We also liked the exposure of learning how an "altenative" composting toilet worked. It looks a little bit different, but works just as conveniently as an ordinary one, except it does not waste any water. So many great new ideas! So, besides being enviornmentally friendly, the house was wonderfully comfortable and cozy! The front opens into a breath-taking, panoramic view of rugged mountain ranges (great hiking!) that drop down dramatically about 600' to the ocean below. What an incredible place to sit and watch the setting sun each evening! At night we could hear the waves breaking on the beach far below and the quiet barking of the seals. One night, after cooking a romantic dinner in the great little kitchen, we enjoyed a primo bottle of local wine in front of the hand-tiled fireplace. We could not have asked for more! We are planning to go back for a week in the spring to explore the area!
