Tue May 26		Great mother/daughter retreat	My 12 year old and I escaped for a long weekend at Laughing Bear and we couldn't have asked for a better place to spend our time together. Everything we needed was in place. We ate in for every meal but one and lacked nothing for cooking. We shared the king size bed upstairs (better for the whole sleep-over feel) and they were so comfy my daughter slept in until 11:00 one day. I enjoyed that morning sitting in the peaceful surroundings of the screened porch, listening to the birds, and getting lost in a book. The amenities at the resort were great, with the indoor pool being a big hit for chilly spring days. And not only was Mary easy to work with, but we commented on how friendly and accommodating the entire staff of the resort was. We are already thinking about an opportunity to return with our guys in tow. Thanks for sharing your home with us! And btw, don't miss the fun of the Swan Drive-in at Blue Ridge while you're there!
