Sat Aug 29		Fantastic vacation spot!	Seven of us (six adults and a year-old baby) stayed at Edgewater for a week. It was as close to perfection as any place I've ever stayed. The house was very roomy and could have comfortably accommodated another four people. Materials and construction quality are exceptional and the design is beautiful. The furniture is also solid and well-designed. We prepared a number of large meals in the kitchen without any problems. The house is situated on a rise in a quiet, peaceful grove of trees. The large porch on the back overlooks Union River Bay, and we spent many hours there. The bay is a short walk from the house and the water is calm and swimmable. We also rented kayaks for the week and used them often - the bay makes for perfect kayaking, with miles of shore to explore. We made several trips to Acadia National Park and found it very accessible - about a 30-minute drive. The only problems were extremely minor - shortages of a few items. There wasn't enough laundry detergent, for example. (I'm really reaching to find something to complain about.) All in all it made for a fantastic vacation. We'd come back in an instant - and are wishing we could. I recommend it without any qualification.
