Lake Weekend on July 4th Fireworks Included | We just came back from our weekend get-a-way of Lake Travis Condo The Island. Everything was fantastic. We stayed in a 2 bdroom Villa called Casa Isla #3113. Pricing was reasonable.The landscape is very tropical in nature.The owner was on site & came by to introduce herself & we felt so welcomed. Out host which was an avid goer of The Island, toured us on his boat from the Island to Carlos & Charlies upon our arrival to get a feel of the location. There were breathtaking views of the surrounding hills & coves & even though the lake is down 27 feet of its norm, the water was deep blue & emerald in color & ranged from 12 feet around the docks to 25 to 104 feet of depth in the middle of the lake. We went to Briarcliff Rest & had a wonderful breakfast. Ate at Carlos & Charlies & also passed the famed Hippie Hollow where still it is famous for the nude sunbatheing. The fireweorks that the isle puts on were fabulous. I would do this again in a second. In fact we are coming back for Labor Day |
