This is not Waltons Mountain | My daughter, son-in-law and two grandkids rented the Miller Lake for one week as they did the previous year. My daughter asked me to come down and visit with them and I drove down late one evening and spent the night and got up earley the next morning to go home. I was approached by Debbie(owner) and the first words from her mouth were I need your card and puzzled I asked her what card? she replied your credit card I have to charge you $50.00 for spending the night for guests plus tax. I handed her my card and she ran in through visa charging me $50.00 plus tax which was just fine with me. My daughter talked to later and told her she thought this was not fair and she came back and handed me $50.00 in cash plus a handful of quarters and told me it was too much trouble to just credit my account. My daughter receives an email from Debbie is charging her $77.00 for a spilled coco cola or coffee on the carpet. My daughter has alway left the cabin spotless and this was a disappointment. |
