The Dutch in Maine | We're from Holland (Europe) and we've seen most US states over the last years. For our first trip to the North East we selected this Cedar Chalet on Boyden Lake. We stayed a week there last July. Thanks to Google Earth we were able to find it.... It really is a lovely place. Tastefully decorated, clean and all the necessary equipment one might need during a holiday week (for our teenager girls SatTV is a necessity....). We took the canoes for a trip on Boyden lake, our kids spend several hours around the basketball board and on the only rainy day we ran a pool (table) competition. The area is very rural, but a good starting point for trips to Acadia NP, Canada of instance Campobello or for a Whale Watching Cruise from Eastport. We really enjoyed our stay! |
