Swan's Island Cottage

The Cottage is perched high on the hillside at tree-top level looking down over scenic Burnt Coat Harbor, one of Swan's Island's most protected harbors. The harbor is home to Swan's Island lobsterboat fleet, as well as home to many visiting sailboats and yacths that frequent during the summer months.

The Cottage has a large outdoor deck area where you can take full advantage of the sights and sounds of the harbor below. A great room fills with morning sun; a fireplace provides a gathering area with couches at one end and open to the kitchen area at the other side. The master bedroom has a double bed with sink. Another bedroom contains three single beds. There are two separate rooms with double beds in the loft. A bathroom with shower as well as an outdoor shower with hot water is available. An extra sleeping cabin is located next to the house with a double bed and loft sleeping bag space. A storage shed offers an electric dryer. The Cottage easily sleeps our family of 12.

Travel from Mount Desert Island on the Maine State Ferry to Swan's Island, a six-mile crossing to Swan's Island. Natural beauty abounds on Swan's Island. If you like the outdoors, you will like Swan's Island.
