Description of the Acadia vacation home rental

This 3-level Cape Cod vacation home has 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms with shower/tub, a full updated kitchen with microwave, dishwasher as well as a washer and dryer. The house sleeps 8-10 people with 2 double
beds, 4 twin beds, and a double futon/ sofa bed. The lakeside home also has a beautiful screened outside porch, an outside deck, a dock at the shore, and a new swim dock. There is also an outside grill. The house is fully equipped with towels, sheets, mattress pads,dishes, pots and pans, and utensils. The kitchen has a full stock of spices, paper towels, etc. Please feel free to use but please replace when empty. There are also supplies of toilet paper, laundry soap,and cleaning agents.

Area Information

Loon Cove is located on a 5 acre wooded site that has 500 feet of shoreline on beautiful Green Lake. The house is set on a secluded and serene hillside with gorgeous views of the Maine sunsets. The site is perfect for all types of water activities including swimming, boating and fishing. Other recreational activities such as golf, hiking, and bicycling are nearby. Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor are just 30
minutes east of camp.

Bangor and Bangor International Airport are just 30 minutes west. The quaint little town of Ellsworth is only 15 minutes from the house. Downtown Ellsworth has grocery stores, unique shops and restaurants serving fresh lobster and blueberry pie.
The lake itself is a crystal clear, glacier lake with rocky shores. Fishing is permitted on the lake, but a fishing license is required. The lake has bass, toque, and land-locked salmon for catch.

Heaven!

Another family and us stayed there the week of the 20th. We had 4 adults and 4 children. What a beautiful home! It was clean and fully stocked. The location was perfect, right on a quiet pond and close enough to Acadia and Bar Harbor. The only downside, as one of the other guests mentioned, is that the house is so great that it is hard to gather the energy to leave it! Our best days were hanging around the lake; canoeing, kayaking, swimming, and fishing. The kids caught fish right off the dock, and I caught a nice size bass in the kayak! I would highly recommend this home to anyone visiting the downeast area.

What a great place. Relaxing and not too far from all the great Maine spots. The home is clean and located on the water with beautiful views. The sunsets were nothing short of incredible. You can fish, swim, kayak, or just relax out there, and when its time to sightsee and travel the Maine countryside, a wonderful place to return to to chill out. The home is modest and clean and we thought worth the money. If your looking for a mansion with marble floors this is not your place, but again we thought a good value. We would do it again. The owners are very nice people and the rental process was professional.
