Description of the Acton vacation home rental

Since the summer season has booked, we are now thinking about the fall. Autumn on the lake is a beautiful time of year!!!! The lake is quiet with great views of the mountains and the fall colors. WE are close to the White Mountains, so day trips would be easy.... the house has regular heat, so it is warm and cozy on a cool fall eveing. consider joining us during the foliage season!!!Overlook beautiful Wilson Lake from the double deck of this lakeside house!!! Complete with full kitchen (including dishwasher and microwave) dinning room, living room(with cable TV), beds include 1 queen, 1 double, 2 twins and a futon couch. 2 baths.. one with shower, the other a full bathroom. Washer and dryer are also available. Finished basement offers more "living space" with couch, chairs and TV walking out onto a lower deck. House is on a dead end, very quiet road.. great for walking, biking and relaxing.This is a spacious house with a sizable yard, plenty of room to spread out, excellent for cookouts, or quiet afternoons!!! Sleeps 8, pets are welcomed, no smoking...dock allows easy access to the lake, bring your own boat and excellent for swimming!!! About an hour and half ride from Boston.. 45 minutes to Portland, ME or an hour ride to White Mts. of New Hampshire. This is an easy property to get to, park your car and stay put for the week or explore the "country side" with day trips to LL Bean, Old Orchard Beach or North Conway, NH. Want to bring friends or family along with you... ask about our second camp that is also available for rent, just across the roadway!!!! (it is up to the renters to bring their own bed linens and towels)

City of Sanford Maine is a short 15 minute drive... stores for all types of shopping... a number of good resturants are also in the area.

easy day trips to many of Maine's well known spots, such as Freeport (LL Bean's) and Portland (go see a Sea dog's game!!) or check out the White Mts. of New Hampshire (famous Mt. Washington, "Storyland", "Clark's trained bears")

 Great Summer Get Away, August 10, 2009

We loved the cottage and the lake. The cabin is very roomy. The deck was a favorite spot and the site of most of our meals. We were blessed with sunny weather. We had all the conveniences one would want at a cottage: cable t.v., wi-fi, dishwasher, gas grill, and a great dock. The camp roads made for wonderful walks with our dog. The lake is quiet during the week, yet active enough to be interesting. The lake is small and well marked; it didn't take long to learn our way around. While some might find the small size limiting, it would be great for parents who want their children to be out boating but like to keep an eye out to be sure they're safe. We will definitely make a return visit next year. We highly recommend the cottage if you want a place to kick back and relax for a week. The Galarneaus

House is very nice and spacious, very easy to get to and very quiet and private,..the week was rainy so were unable to enjoy the deck overlooking the water as often as we would have liked,..the steps walking down to the dock became very slippery due to the rain...the lake was very organized for boaters...even though their was a large number of boats docked, we seemed to have the whole lake to ourselves at times,...residents on the lake are friendly and offer advice, very beutiful scenery,...
