Summer Yurting

August 5, 2009
Spent 3 days at Falls Brook Yurts, could definitely have used another 3 at least. A great time was had by all. Everything you need is contained at the site. All you need to bring is food, clothes and sleeping bags. Quiet, secluded location. The hike up the trailhead was nice. Very dog friendly. Hiking trails abound. Everyone was tuckered out by day's end. Evenings were spent cooking supper & reading the great magazine collection at the yurt. Highly recommend taking a trip to see Great Camp Santonini. We plan on returning in the fall to take in the colours and hit some more trails.

About Adirondacks

New York Adirondacks Travel Tips

Adirondack vacation rentals allow families the luxury of enjoying the beauty of one of New York's top travel destinations, while staying in the comfort of a private home or cabin. Spanning approximately 6 million acres of forested pines, beautiful mountain ranges, and lakes, the Adirondacks provide year round activities to the outdoor enthusiast. With activities such as mountain and rock climbing, fishing, camping, or enjoying quaint villages, the scenic views of the Adirondacks make the perfect backdrop for outdoor fun. The Adirondack region is home to countless lakes, streams, and rivers including Lake Placid, Lake Champlain, Lake George, Lake Luzerne, Indian Lake as well as the Adirondack mountain range. Adirondack rentals are an excellent way to enjoy the recreational activities the park has to offer while having the luxury of staying in the comfort and seclusion provided by a private home.
Those visiting the Adirondacks will find easy access to the region through nearby airports, car, train, or bus. Adirondack vacation rentals are available year round and create the perfect, family atmosphere. When visiting, it is best to have access to a vehicle. While some drive to their destination in their own, personal vehicle, others find that renting a vehicle is the best option. When traveling in NY, it's best to time your vacation according to your planned activities. With private, lakefront homes and cabins, finding the perfect property for your vacation needs is easy. Families can spend a day kayaking or even camp out under the stars, while knowing they can return to the comfort and peacefulness of their own rental property. Choosing by owner rentals are an excellent way to ensure the perfect, family vacation.

The Adirondacks are home to numerous neighborhoods, but some are more popular than others regarding tourism. When choosing Adirondack rentals, it's important to select a neighborhood in close proximity to your planned activities. Some of the most popular neighborhoods include Blue Mountain Lake, Bolton Landing, Lake George and Lake Placid. Blue Mountain Lake is known for its fishing, hiking, and museums, and is a small knit community. Adirondack cabin rentals are a popular choice for those seeking waterfront properties.
Bolton Landing is revered for its location near Lake George, and its hiking, fishing, and other water activities. The Lake Placid neighborhood is located on ...
