Description of the Aegina vacation villa rental
Take a romantic boat ride or horse-drawn carriage along the shoreline. Watch amazing sunsets off the villa balcony. Enjoy the stars lighting up the classic Aegean Sea. These are just a few of the things that make the Villa Colettis an utterly unique, perfectly Greek, place to stay.
The Villa Colettis is a family owned, two-level villa overlooking the western vista of the Aegean Sea, less than one hour from Athens by ferry. The villa is five minutes from the port, and guests will find popular sites, restaurants, and activities within minutes. The UPSTAIRS sleeps 4 to 6 and features a full kitchen, two large private bedrooms (queen-size beds in each), spacious living area (with sofas and small library), bathroom, dining table for 6, and large balcony with a spectacular view of the Aegean Sea. The DOWNSTAIRS sleeps 2 to 4 and has a kitchen, two bedrooms, living area with comfortable sofas, bathroom, and large balcony. Towels and linens are provided.
A bilingual escort will meet you in Athens and lead you to the island by ferry (ferries run daily from Aegina into Athens and nearby islands). The Athens/Aegina trip is 30 minutes by hovercraft and about an hour by standard ferry. Standard ferries take cars, which are a necessity in order to see all that the island has to offer. Guests receive excellent rates on auto rentals. Please discuss your rental needs with your escort.
The ancient island of Aegina is the first port of call from Athens. Aegina (Egina in Greek) was the capital of classical Greece, the place from whence the world's first public library came, home to the Temple of Afaia (older than the Parthenon), the incredible St. Nektarios monastery, and much more. Your rental packet will provide information, maps, and phone numbers to places on and near the island for sites, activities, and events to help your trip become a lifetime memory.
Aegina's beaches are open, free, and accessible, including the one just down the hill from the villa. The quaint peninsula of Perdica, seen from the villa balcony, offers a row of intimate seaside cafes. The port (Aegina Town), 8 minutes by car away from the villa, is a central point for tourists, with banks, rental vendors, grocery stores, souvenir shops, authentic cuisine, and busy nightclub life to enjoy.

The villa was everything we hoped for. Thanks for everything. Hiking the island and seeing the temples and especially St. Nektarios monastery. . . the whole trip was a dream come true. We recommend the Villa Colettis highly. N. L. and Family, 2003
