Description of the Ajijic vacation home rental
A perfect home for a short or longer stay, is located on the western edge of Ajijic, a 15 minute walk to town, in the beautiful Rancho del Oro neighborhood. It is one of two homes at opposite ends of a 1/2 acre garden lot. The bungalow is 1400 square feet located nearest the street entrance. The master bedroom has a king-size bed; its own bathroom with shower and tub. A second bedroom has two single beds. A well equipped kitchen has blender, toaster oven, juicer, and microwave, needed utensils and dishes so you can cook and entertain with ease. The property has DSL wireless internet throughout provided by four access points, Upnp router with public dynamic IP address, US VPN, and Internet TV with US channel subscription and Roku box, a voice over IP US phone line, and network media server.

If you like bird watching, from the front terrace, every morning there is usually a festival of interesting birds in the garden!

There are many fruit trees, many just planted. But we are getting tangerines, lemons, figs, guayaba, and passion fruit at different times and are happy to share with guests.

We are solar cooking enthusiasts. There is an SK14 800 watt parabolic cooker and hot pot and solar cookware and recipes available.

Guests have access to the front part of the property, including home, parking areas, front terrace and part of the garden. The two homes are 80 meters apart; privacy is high.

We're experienced renters we understand the importance of giving you a quality total experience. We both carry cell phones 24/7 for quick communication. Occasionally, we occupy the home in back. If there's some minor utensil or gadget needed we didn't have, please just check with us before purchasing and we'll reimburse.

To control crawling insects and rodents, our policy is cleanliness first, chemicals second. In spite of that, we cannot guarantee you won't see an occasional undesirable creature. We try to use chemicals sparingly.

Rancho del Oro is a nice safe area located on the west side of Ajijic. Houses are on large lots with wide streets. Guests can expect friendly neighbors and a cordial atmosphere.

The home is about 1km from Ajijic centro with several restaurants, bakeries, food markets, and a theater within comfortable walking distance These are, especially, great Italian, Continental, and seafood restauranst, a fish market, French bakery with croissants to die for, and well stocked butcher and mini-super.

Home is located 150 meters from the lakeside highway bus stop with local service. The Ajijic intercity bus terminal is 1km away. Rancho del Oro properties are large lots in a nice safe area. about a 15 min walk to Ajijic Center.

If you have your own vehicle, the property offers secure enclosed parking. If you're on foot, the bus stop on the Chapala Jocotepec highway is just 150 meters away. We have maps of hiking trails and plenty of visitor information.

There are some great restaurants and convenience stores within walking distance. Sometimes on weekends, Ajijic may have some noisy parties. Fortunately we are located away from the village in a quieter area. But we are not immune.

Internet TV subscription is USTVNow and Netflix- major networks and channels available. Our Telmex DSL line usually streams at 1.5 mbps but may be slower on ocassion. If you are a casual TV and DVD watcher, you'll be fine. We do not have cable or satellite TV available at this time.
