Memorial weekend getaway

Had a great time! The location was very convenient for our activities and it felt very homy. Loved how there was everything we needed in the kitchen. Probably the only one criticism is that the baking pan in the oven was oily but that isn't a big deal. Overall had alot of fun and it was very spacious in the house! Would definitely recommend and come back again.

Great house! Had a great time over the holiday weekend although we werent able to do all the activites we wished to. Too bad the weather wasn't as great as expected but we definitely had fun. Also it was very spacious and had a nice homy atmosphere. Would definitely come back again!

My husband and 3 kids celebrated New Year at this house. We planned to buy the tree as soon as we get in there but everything was ready for us!!! The lights, the tree, ornaments... Real fire place and snow outside completed the picture I was going for when left Brooklyn:) Very pleasant stay, thanks Rick!!!

Week in the poconos

Late august is a wonderful time to visit the Poconos area. The chalet was everything it promised, not one misstep. A great place to see the wonderful state parks an enjoying all the hiking trails. The owners even included a game of scramble which was a big hit. I highly recommend a visit to the chalet.

Great Cozy Cabin

The place was great. It had all the essentials plus some. Very clean and accommodating with plenty of space for 6 people. The area was beautiful with lots of scenery to take in, including a family of deer who spent the weekend in the backyard snacking on corn feed. We will be back!

We were 5 friends looking for a nice place to spend Christmas weekend and our expectations were met there. Typical cabin with fireplace, very clean and nice atmosphere. We had all equipment needed inside. Peaceful place in the middle of the forest, near a lake and a river. Lots of deers in the wood. Perfect if you want to wander and get back to the nature.

I really enjoyed this cabin with my family for Thanksgiving weekend. It was near plenty of activites and lots of wildlife to see right in our own backyard. It is animal friendly and has a very homely feel.

My wife, 2-year old daugther and I were there over the Labor day weekend. I must say we had a good time in this nicely decorated chalet. It is truly a home away from home. My daugther had a blast feeding deer and bucks every morning and at dinner. We enjoyed visiting the Watauga lake just one street down. It is a nice community and would highly recommend it for any family getaway.

Me and 5 friends stayed here for the weekend of the 5k warrior dash at the skirmish paintball fields, which was a little over a mile away. The house was perfect size for 6 people, super clean, kitchen was stocked with pots and pans for making dinners. The deer were one of our fav parts every day almost all day long the deer were in the grass out back as we hung out on the deck. The owners were great and very helpful with the rental process as it was my first mountain house I ever rented. We all loved the house and are planning on renting it again next year for that same weekend.

It was exactly as advertised. Well taken care of. We had a great time. The deer and turkey came right up to the deck every morning. Very relaxing. The only complaint is the security guard was lazy and caused trouble by refusing entry to one guest because she couldn't be bothered to check the list.

This is our second year in a row stayin in the challet. We love the fireplace and loft! Last trip we saw 16 deer outside plus turkeys and other wild life!! This year we had 11 deer in the yard including a buck! What a wonderful place to stay at such a reasonable price. Us and our 2 dogs love it! We'll be back.

This place was everything it is said to be. We loved the fireplace in the livingroom and could not believe the deer that came right up to the back of the house so often. One morning our children counted 15 deer at one time. The house is close to the ski slopes and in a secure developement. The owner, Rick, was a pleasure to deal with and was quick to answer any questions we had. I recommend bringing a duraflame to get the fire going. We are already looking into going back again. Perfect location for fishing, hiking, swimming or just enjoying a book and a beverage on the deck. Our son caught his first fish -- several keepers! Awesome Getaway

We loved our weekend getaway in the Poconos. The house was perfect, with plenty of beds, all the amenities of home (even a dryer to warm up the snow clothes), a fireplace for atmosphere, and an awesome deck and back yard with all kinds of wild life. We had a great time feeding the deer some corn, apples, and carrots. The house was very clean and very well kept. The heat and fireplace provided plenty of warmth. The location is minutes from anything you would want to do in the Poconos. We spent the day at Big Boulder tubing and had a blast. There was also a great convenience store a couple of miles up the road that had everything we forgot to bring. Oh yah, plenty of TV's as well for giving the kids some down time. The owners were very good at communicating and responding to all of our questions. They made it extremely easy to just get there and have no worries. The post visit inspection was real quick, and we had our security deposit mailed back within 5 days. Of course, we cleaned up and used the vacuum cleaner to make that inspection an easy one. We would definitely recommend this place for couples wanting to get away for a romantic weekend, or famiiles wanting to get away for a weekend of fun. Summer or Winter, the location of this place offers a whole bunch of adventure.

This cabin was perfect for our anniversary getaway. The owner was extremely helpful and accommodating on short notice. The deer,turkeys, and raccoons, were an added fun surprise. We will certainly keep note of this one, and hopefully return in the future. Very clean and nice!

What an absolutely enjoyable experience. The place was clean and much larger than it appears in the online photos. Our gang of 7 enjoyed a relaxing stay for the entire weekend. It was amazing to see the wildlife in the area and the friendliness of the people in the town. The owners were very easy to deal with and very responsive to questions/concerns. I would recommend a stay at this location to anybody.

We could not have had a better time! It was my 5th year anniversary and we spent it in complete peace and quiet...the deer were wonderful and so very close when you are on the large deck out back. The fireplace in the living room was so romantic, the loft was as well. I can not wait to come back again! The owners of this property are amazing too! You can't forget them! They were thee most helpful, patient people I have ever rented from and I would do it again in a heartbeat. Thank you so much for making my dream vacation come true!
