Description of the Albrightsville vacation home rental
Minutes from Jack Frost/Big Boulder ski resorts, H2Oh! indoor water park, Jim Thorpe, Skirmish Paintball, Hickory Run State Park, 100 outlet store shopping mall 15 minute drive to 13 miles of ATV trails, and more!
Maximum 12 occupants, max 8 adults. Note: we get a max of 8 passes for the community amenities - pool, lake, tennis, basketball, etc. All guests age 2 or higher require a pass for amenity use.
Located in desirable Towamensing Trails, this home is within a quarter mile of all the amenities! Just around the corner from the Lake, Beach, Pool, club house, playground, tennis courts and basketball courts. This beautiful home has 3 bedrooms + loft, 2 full baths, plus a large game room with pool table, ping pong, air hockey and foosball. Big screen TVs in game room and living room (with Wii!), high speed wireless Internet throughout the house. Two decks, and a big backyard.
Winter - 10 minutes to H2Ooooh! at Split Rock - indoor water park, 84 degree tropical pleasure! Hickory Run State park for cross country skiing, or Big Boulder-Jack Frost downhill ski area - Come home for a break and since you're only 10 minutes away go back and ski the evening. 30 Minutes to Camelback. After a day of skiing/snowboarding/tubing come home and cozy up to the stone fireplace with gas log. 43" TV in living room with DVD and Nintendo Wii!

Summer - A 5 minute walk to lakefront pool and kiddie pool, sandy beach with volleyball court, kids playground, tennis and basketball courts as well on a 195-acre, crystal-clear lake stocked with trout and bass. Rent a paddle boat or use our single or tandem kayaks! Tennis and basketball courts nearby as well
This home is equipped with all modern furniture plus everything else you will need. The Living Room has a queen size sleeper sofa, chaise and loveseat, plus a 43 inch TV/with Cable along with a DVD/CD player, plus a Wii!.
The kitchen is equipped with all new appliances and utensils. Out the sliding doors to a deck with patio furniture and BBQ. Big yard perfect for horse shoes, volleyball or a game of wiffle ball.
There are 3 beautiful bedrooms with plenty of room, all have ceiling fans plus their own baseboard heat with theromostat.

Bedroom 1 - 1st floor, Queen bed plus a comfy sofa
Bedroom 2 - 2nd floor, Queen memory foam bed plus a cozy loveseat
Bedroom 3 - 2nd floor - kid's bunkhouse - single over full bunk bed, plus a single couch bed & TV/cable/DVD. The full bed has a memory foam mattress!
Loft - full size high end futon
Plus a queen size sleeper sofa in the living room.

Best value in the Poconos

I was looking for a place to host a birthday weekend for my boyfriend and some family. Not only was this cabin the best price for a weekend cabin near the ski resorts, but once we got there, it had everything we could've needed: a game room with a great pool table, flat screen, air hockey; a flat screen and wii in the living room, fully stocked kitchen- all we had to bring was the food & napkins. Furthermore, the homeowners are extremely friendly and more than willing to answer any and all questions. I will 100% stay here again if I'm ever looking to come to the Poconos overnight.

Short driving distance to many pocono attractions, but lots of things to do within in the house and gated community, park the car and enjoy! From start to finish our experiece with Paul and his rental home was outstanding. My husband, two sons and an additional group of 6 friends stayed for the weekend to play Skirmish. On a last minute whim the guys decided to stay in the Poconos instead of driving. We emailed Paul on Thursday evening at 10pm hoping to maybe be able to make the arrangements the following day. Paul responded within 30 minutes and sent all the information needed along with every last detail about the house and area by 11pm!!! The house was just as accommodating. Plenty of recreation to keep 9 guys entertained and happy. They will be returning late fall for Skirmish again and will be contacting Paul. (this time we will give him more than 12 hours notice)

First of all can't say enough great things about the owner Paul. He is incredibly responsive to all questions and problems. We arrived on a Friday evening and eventually noticed that the refrigerator was not working. Paul brought a brand new fridge the next morning. Paul was always quick to answer all questions and concerns. We have rented many houses across the eastern coast and this was by far the most pleasant experience ever. The house is in a fantastic location with seemingly everything you'd want to do in the Pocono's within a 15 minute driving distance. If you decide to spend a day in at the house there is plenty to do. Several flat screen TV's, a Wii, horseshoes pits, and a game room kept us busy. I'm typically used to blasting the AC and while this house has none I was shocked at how cool it gets in the evening and night. We had the windows open and a cool breeze made the house perfect. It actually got a little too cold and we had to close some of the windows. I would highly recommend this house to anyone. The house is well kept, has a great location, fantastic owners, and has a fantastic price. Thanks Paul for all your help and hopefully we'll be back sooner than later! I think we may have to see this house again in the winter!

My wife and 7 year old daughter stayed President's week this year. My daughter loved the game room and the Wii. The house was just as described. The location and proximity to JFBBM and Split Rock water park was teriffic. Paul was a great host and the information pack was detailed and thorough. I would recommend Woody's Country House for a GREAT restaurant nearby. There was nothing I would ask Paul to change or do better.

A Super Mini Getaway Vacation

The house was just as expected - No - it was better than the pictures showed. It was very cozy and was clean and spacious. We enjoyed the trampoline outdoors and the game room was fun. It was very pleasant dealing with such efficient and kind people, who made sure we had fun and felt safe. We highlty recommend this house and hope to be able to return.

I would just like to thank you for allowing us to stay in your home. We came up for my son's 16th birthday weekend with a group of his teenage friends. They all had a fantastic time. I don't think they left the game room except to sleep and the night we went snow tubing. There was enough to do in the house that everyone got along and there was no fighting. It was really cool when a group of about 30 deer ran out of the woods into the yard next door and every one of the teenage kids and us adults ran to the window to watch. We live at the beach so you don't ever see that. We had a fantastic time snow tubing too. Your welcome pack was very informative and left us knowing travel time to everything. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this house to everyone who asks. Thank you for helping me make my son's birthday one he will always remember.

I would like to add to my review: the homeowners of the property are very helpful. All the documentation provided by the owners was as clear as it could ever be. We didn't even have any extra questions to ask, since everything was explained and stated in the papers. And, I must admit, we even enjoyed reading them - they had a personal touch. We could see that the owners are not indifferent to the house they are renting out. My friends and I have rented many houses and had different experiences. Some were good, others were ok. This stay was one of the best experiences so far. Starting with communication at the earliest stage of inquiry and ending with the Thank You note on the table.

We were two families with 7 teenagers staying at this cozy house over the weekend. Must say that it was a great break for us all. Even though it was out of season that we rented the house, so the beach, the tennis or basketball courts were closed for the season, our children had plenty to do and play around on the trampoline in the backyard, the pingpong/pool table, games, and wii. As adults, we had plenty of time for ourselves too. The host was very helpful and welcoming as we called with questions. Pleasure to be there. Thank you.

We have a once-a-year weekend getaway with friends that we've been doing for more than 20 years. This year our rental fell through just 2 weeks before our trip. We didn't think we'd find another place to fit all 10 of us on such short notice but we were wrong. This house had plenty of room and plenty to do. The ping-pong table and the Wii were a big hit, and the floor plan allowed us all to hang out in the same vacinity without feeling too crowded. The owners were super-helpful and even sent emails with recommendations for local places to ski and snowboard - which worked out great. Oh, and the price was well worth the value. Our house that fell through would have cost us several hundred dollars more for the weekend so it ended up being a blessing in disguise. We had an awesome time. I would definitely recommend this house to others.

To start off the new year and end our winter break from college, a few of my girlfriends and I visited this lovely home and we fell in love as soon as we walked through the door. We were able to get away from our busy lives, yet still had cell phone reception - and Bella Mia pizza on 903 was fabulous! We were able to cook for ourselves, keep ourselves busy with wii and pingpong, which is something we never get around to do here at home. It was the perfect home-away-from-home that was also a mini vacation! we loved it!

We just got back from our week long stay at Paul and Nicole's house. Our family had such a wonderful time. The house was perfect, so clean, quiet and just the right size. Lake/sand was so clean that even only pool-goer type people could not resist going in the water. Loved it! I also have to say that Paul could not have been a better host, so accomodating and helpful. I am very grateful as a full-time working mom with not much time to plan anything but dinner to have him be so communicative with everything that had to do with our trip. Thank you! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Our girl scout troop rented this house with their cookie money. The owners were so easy to work with. The house was beautiful and very clean. The kitchen was well stocked and user-friendly - even for 12 year old cooks. The girls loved the game room and the doe and fawns in our front yard! They are already planning their return trip for next year!

The house was perfect! It had everything and more. Great game room and fully stocked kitchen made our experience very pleasant and an easy comfortable stay.The site also had greta many ameneties including the swimming poool, lake, basketball courts and a club house a short walk away We enjoyed it so much that we are going back in September!

Much to do no matter what the weather. Spent a week in the woods with our children & grandchildren. From adults to the smallest, we had a great time hiking, playing at the lake, and when it was cloudy and cool, shooting pool, bowling and playing foosball. The trampoline was a smash hit with everyone. Oh yes, watched a lot of 1st week's World Cup matches on the crystal clear 46" HD TV. To top it off, Paul couldn't have been more accommodating. Thanks!

This was my first time going to the poconos and reating a house and I had such a wonderful experience!!! The house was beuatiful and clean also the owners were great! I recommend this place to anyone looking to have a great relaxing time. Will be returning again very soon:)

The home is really inviting. You will fall into a comfort zone and get stuck. Our family just hung in the great room and watched the big TV and munched and drank all day. We were lucky to get a little snow but definetly wanted more. My brother-n-law didn't want to leave. If your smoker take a blanket and a cup of hot coco outside w/ you because there is no smoking in the house.The bonus for my husband was the candy canes on the tree, he a candy bandit at night. In a nut shell it was a great time,thanks Paul and Nicole.

Best Christmas Ever!

We just stayed at this house from Christmas Eve to Dec. 26th and we have nothing but good things to say about this home. The owners went ABOVE and BEYOND at being available and helpful for everything. They even left us a Christmas tree all set up along with a super thoughtful gift. This was a surprise for all of us and meant more than words can say, our children will have many beautiful memories of this Christmas holiday. We will be recommending this house to our friends and family and will be coming back in the summertime. Thanks again Paul and Nicole!!

This home is so cozy and we all felt right at home. The game room was amazing and kept all the men busy. We had snow fall which made this weekend even better. The home had everything we needed from kitchen utensils, a bbq grill, tv, and radio. I cant wait to be able to do this again next winter!! The highlight would have to be the 2 deer we saw right in our backyard. The owner was always available when I had questions and super nice.

We stayed over the Thanksgiving weekend and just got back. The family and I had a wonderful, and more importantly, relaxing experience at Paul's house. All the amenities were there and Paul put up with all my incidental questions prior to arriving without hesitation and so promptly. The best thing was that we sometimes stayed at the house enjoying the game room or beautiful TV watching a movie or playing a game, but we were also close enough to do everything from the winery to shopping to going out to a wonderful restaurant for dinner. It is the perfect affordable vacation for a family get away, including the family dog!. We also did not have to travel far to get there.

We had a great time. Even had some snow in October. Your home was perfect for a family get away. We had a great time in the gameroom. We even got my mom to play the Wii. Paul was very accommodating.

We rented the house for a small family reunion and were very pleased with the ameneties in the house. The kids had a lot of fun and so did all the adults. The location is also perfect with all the activities in the Poconos close by. Above all, the hosts have thought through and provide all the stuff needed for an excellent stay. Thanks you both!

My family did rent this beautiful and warm house for the full month of August. It was a truly flawless experience. From my inquiry about availability all the way through to the end, Paul and Nichole were awesome. They responded promptly to all of my endless questions and e-mails. They made our rental experience a great one. They prepared house for us before we came and it was spotless clean! We had everything what we need and felt like home! House conveniently located to the Pool, lake, Clubhouse and playground, approx 5-8 min walking distance. We enjoyed every day being there! Game room is awesome, but with the pool, lake and other attractions in the area we did not use it much! I loved it so much that will do everything possible to come back next summer!

Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us and giving us the chance to make some wonderful memories of our stay. We were entertained all weekend with the WII, the game room, the big yard etc...We would highly recommend this house to any vacationer looking for a getaway to a house that is full of entertainment, fully equipped kitchen, clean and accommodating owner. If You like to relax in one place and have many different fun things to do, then you need to spend a few nights here. I never left the house and was satisfied with my vaca. My only regret was not staying for a week. That will not happen next year. ;) Two Thumbs Up. Thanks Paul A++ For Big Families

A Nice Getaway!

Right from the start, I appreciated Paul's prompt replies to my e-mails. He was always very accomodating. We enjoyed a nice getaway! We got out and did some geocaching, went to Split Rock's indoor water park (suggested by Paul)and received some pampering at Escapes Day Spa in Pocono Pines. Although the weather wasn't great, we had a GREAT time, thanks to the game room! It's been AGES since we played ping pong and pool! Until we left, I think we all improved our pool techniques! The bowling game was very fun, too! There was no chance of being bored while staying in this house! But my biggest compliment goes to the owners - very nice to deal with! Thanks again!

If you are looking for a nice relaxing weekend away this is the place for you. The house is extremely clean and cozy. You truly feel like its a home away from home. The game room is certainly a plus. The house is minutes away from the lake. And the living room is a great place to gather for watching a movie on the big TV in front of the warm fire place. There is also a nice size yard out back to play sports or just hang out. Highly recommend this rental. Thanks Paul for an awesome weekend!!

For the last couple of years my friends and I have been going to the Poconos to get away for a weekend and ski, and of all the houses we've rented and owners we've dealt with, this house was the most comfortable, and by far the most fun (game room). Paul and Nicole were very nice and made the trip as convenient as possible for us, and my group and I are very thankful to them for that. We will deffinitely be coming back! 10 Stars!

What a great house!! Paul and Nicole are excellent to deal with and covered every detail to make our stay outstanding. Great hiking at Hickory Run State Park - check out the falls on Hawk Falls Run and enjoy the rock climbing on the Shades of Death trails. We really enjoyed shooting pool and watching the NCAA bowl games in the game room. Kids loved the Wii. Plenty of room to eat, relax and sleep. My family , friends and I, we been renting houses in Poconos for the past couple of years. This particular unit was relly great, ski center is walking distance, quiet neighborhood,...its was everything that we are looking for. The house is clean, well maintained, good location, big enough for at least 6 people...Very important, The owner is go generous, down toearth, flexible, profetional person...I would like to do business again... Definitely recomendable place to go. Dan

This house was awesome. It is just as the owner described it. We had 12 people for the holiday and we never felt crowded. Everyone especially loved the gameroom. The owner was very easy to deal with. We are definitely coming back! Thanks Paul and Nicole.

The house is so adorable and inviting! We had a group of 9 and there was plenty of room!! Very happy with all aspects of the house! The game room is super fun... we all loved the old bowling machine! We all live in NYC, so it was great to come to a house with a yard to play ball and grill out. This is what we grew up with. We are all looking forward in staying here in the future. There is no need for us to ever look at a different place to stay when going to the Poconos! Thank you so much Paul and Nicole! Great Job with the house!!
