a Fabulous Family Thanksgiving

I waited late to try to find a nice house to rent for the week of Thanksgiving. We were visiting a grown son in area, and I was hoping to find a suitable house so that we could stay with our other children and grandson, and we could host the Thanksgiving Feast. Beyond all my expectations, we found this gracious and beautiful house! It is lovingly decorated and maintained, and you could see the great pride the owner took in this home. The living areas were both beautiful and comfortable, and the setting was perfect, backing up to the woods. The neighborhood felt very comfortable for exploring with our grandson, and going on runs. The bedrooms were also peaceful and comfortable, with a lovely master bath with a large double headed shower and a jacuzzi tub. And the kitchen was the greatest for preparing our feast! (Nice touch was a great supermarket about a quarter mile away.)

We enjoyed having small groups of cousins and old friends come over for afternoon visits, and they were very impressed with this house! "How did you find this?" they all asked! I'm not sure, for I don't specifically remember putting the request in for this home - most of the houses left were tiny! But this one allowed us all to have the most amazing week! We enjoyed participating in the Turkey Trot 5 miler in Alexandria, visiting our son, going out to eat and carrying in, and visiting the Ice display at the National Harbor.

The owner was so very helpful! He welcomed our calls, and was easy to communicate with. He made sure the place was immaculate for our visit, and we tried to take the best possible care of his home.

What a special holiday in a very special place - we are very thankful for this experience!!!

I was responsible for planning a business trip with some of our largest clients and this home made the trip even more enjoyable. The pictures posted are just a sample of how nice this place truly is. The owner was easy to work with and made sure that our stay was enjoyable. Upon check in, the house was in pristine condition and looked as if it has never been lived in. All the arrangements discussed and promised were provided which eliminated worrying about the minor details. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in the DC area and will be looking to use this place again in the near future.
