This home was built in 1957 on beautiful bayfront property. It is fully equipped and furnished, usually used as a weekend/vacation retreat by the owner. The main floor consists of a greatroom/kitchen, an enclosed porch overlooking the bay 20 feet away, and a bedroom with a king bed and adjacent bath and dressing room. The dressing room also connects to the end of the porch, which has partion doors to form a bedroom with two twin beds. A bedroom with 4 twin beds and a full bath is upstairs and a utility room and half bath is downstairs. The gulf beach is a few hundred feet down a private paved walk ( the entire penninsula is approx. 500 feet wide at this point).
Alligator Point is a residential beach community of a few hundred homes on a narrow penninsula that runs parallel to, and one mile from, the shoreline for three or four miles. A small marina is the only commercial enterprise on Alligator Point but a restaurant is planned. Homes range from the grandious to the humble, it is a friendly, low-key place. Fantastic seafood restaurants and shopping are available 15 minutes away in Panacea, Fl. The tourist destinations of St. George Island and Appalachacola are 45 min. away and Tallahassee, the state capital of Florida, is one hour away.
