Description of the Almo vacation home rental
Walk on the old California Trail! Come to the spectacularly beautiful valley and mountains of Almo, Idaho located 15 miles North of the Utah border. We are 50 miles south of Burley, Idaho. Our retreat adjoins the City of Rocks National Reserve where rock climbers from all over the world come to climb the famous Elephant Rock, the Bread Loaves, and many others. We have a private entrance into the Park. Only 3 hours from the Salt Lake metropolitan area. Remotely situated on 40 acres, we have a fabulous 3200 plus square foot lodge available to rent. It is an ideal location for family vacations, arrange a weekend stay with your friends, executive meetings, ladies retreats, health retreats, small family reunions, book clubs, recreational activities and relaxation.
We rent year around in 3-5 day increments.
Three nights @ $900 Five nights @ $1250
Extra nights can be reserved @ $200 per night.
$500 deposit due upon booking:
Refundable security deposit ($350) and non refundable cleaning fee ($150)
Balance due 14 days before arrival.
Vacation Rental Amenities
FULLY equipped kitchen
Electric heat pump, heat and air conditioning. TV/VCR/DVD/unlimited free movies.
Game Room/pool table, foos ball table, exercise machines, toy room.
Washer and dryer
Large deck with outstanding views/gas barbecue grill, fire pit.
Large lawns with shade. Volley ball and Badminton nets available.
Upright piano and organ.
All bedrooms include bedding and towels:
Elephant Rock Room with queen size bed.
Treasure Rock Room with queen size bed.
Clam Shell Rock Room with king size bed/private bath.
Twin Sisters Rock Room with queen size and full size bed, crib.
Creek Side Towers Room with full size bed.
Rabbit Rock Room with twin size bed.
Futons scattered throughout the lodge.
Free pasture for those who have their own horses!
Absolutely No smoking. Animals allowed outside. We have a kennel for dogs outside for safety from the wildlife at night.
Area Description
Summertime activities at City of Rocks Retreat include:
Fishing at Lake Cleveland, Swimming at the Durfee Hot Springs, located just over the hill), Mountain biking, Unlimited hiking trails, Horse-back riding, Historical Tours, rock climbing in the City of Rocks National Reserve and Castle Rocks State Park.
There is also a large newly built RV campground hidden on Smoky Mountain across the road from us operated by the City of Rocks National Reserve. Electricity and water provided. So if you are planning a family reunion, the RV campground will help house those family members with RVs.
Locally, Almo has two mercantile stores, The Almo Outpost restaurant and a Pizza parlor. We even have a Rock City Auto Repair!
The Castle Rocks State Park is just a mile down Lovers Lane for more sightseeing and hiking.
Wintertime activities at City of Rocks Retreat include:
Snowmobiling: Begin out the back door and ride on all of the back roads and trails and through the City Rocks National Reserve.
Snow skiing & snowboarding on Pomerelle Mountain just 30 minutes away!
Sleigh Riding on a private curvy hill! Snowshoeing in the Castles.
