Our romantic farmhouse apartment nestles in a peaceful, wooded valley in the heart of the Le Marche countryside near Amandola. We are surrounded by nature, with views to Montefalcone & beyond.

Recently renovated to a high standard, we have blended traditional local materials such as cotto floor tiles, beamed ceilings & wooden shutters along side modern day necessities like double glazing & central heating for your comfort. We even provide special extra touches like fluffy bath robes, a welcome pack & toiletries, your stay with us a memorable one!

Set in 2.5 acres, there are both shady & sunny areas of the garden for you to enjoy, for BBQing, relaxing on the hammocks, playing garden games or lazing in the pool.

Nature lovers will be amazed with eagles circling overhead, bird song all around, deer, wild boar & porcupines nearby & the spectacular stars at night. Sample the delicious local cuisine & of course wine & visit one of the many local colourful festivals.

With hill-top towns to explore, museums, theatres, mountain walks & endless outdoor activities, there really is something for everyone. From The Sibillini National Park to the Adriatic Coast & everything inbetween.

ABOUT YOUR VALLEY VIEW APARTMENT (SLEEPS UP TO 6 GUESTS)

Your beautiful two bedroomed, well appointed self-catering apartment is situated upstairs in our 17th century farmhouse. Over the last few years, it has been lovingly restored in a traditional manor - cotto tiles & wooden beams & shutters run throughout for rustic charm, complimented with modern comforts such as central heating & double glazing.

LIVING AREA
With it's own private entrance via the covered loggia & an area for al fresco dining (perfect for dining out or relaxing with a glass of wine in the evening), you enter the living room with comfy armchair & double sofa bed, satellite TV, DVD, CD player, games cabinet & books for your entertainment.

KITCHEN
The separate fully-equipped kitchen has an electric oven, four burner gas hob, fridge. freezer, microwave, toaster, kettle, cafetierre, plenty of glassware, crockery & cooking utensiles & a dining area. There is a washing machine next door, with airer, iron & ironing board & a weekly use is included. If you require more than one wash a week, a small charge will be made of any additional use.

For stays of more than 7 nights, all towels & linen are changed at the end of your first week.

Your rental includes a final cleaning of the apartment, but as our turn-around time is tight on changeover days and our standards of cleanliness are high, we would appreciate it if you could leave the apartment in same standard as when you arrived.

BEDROOMS
Your romantic master bedroom with cosy double
bed & luxury bedding has dual aspect views over Montefalcone & wooden beams & shutters for a peaceful nights sleep. Also included is a safe, hairdryer
& fluffy dressing gowns.

The second bedroom has a single bed with a sofa bed for a sixth guest if needed.

BATHROOM
Your bathroom has a shower, wc, wash basin & complimentary toiletries.

OUTSIDE
Outside there is a terrace for sitting in the sunshine & our large garden provides areas for relaxing, reading & BBQing or swimming in the pool. There are two mountain bikes available for your use, a boules area & many outdoor games for your entertainment. Hammocks and sunloungers are also provided for your relaxation.

We live in the house next door & can be reached easily if you need any help or advice .

PRICING
Please note that the above prices include your final cleaning of your apartment - there are no hidden extra costs. We also include all gas & electricity, bed linen & towels, complimentary toiletries, dressing gowns (for the adults!) & use of our pool. There is complimentary wi-fi internet access under the gazebos.

The Hideaway is located in a quiet valley in Villa Conti, a peaceful little village between Amandola (6 miles) & Comunanza (2 miles) in Le Marche.

The attractive spa town of Sarnano is only 15 miles away & we are ideally situated for both the ski resorts at Sassotetto & the beaches of the Adriatic (both within a 40 minute drive).

Our nearby town of Amandola has a beautifully porticoed main square where you can sit outside one of the cafes & enjoy a coffee before wandering up through the old town's cobbled streets to view the stunning Monte Sibillini.

Nothing can be more beautiful, whatever the season, from the crisp snow in the winter to the Sibillini National Park with its carpet of Spring flowers. The sandy beaches of Grottammare & San Benedetto are inviting in the Summer & the Gola dell’Infernaccio makes a stunning Autumn ramble.

The Monti Sibillini National Park covers nearly 2 million acres with some of the highest mountains in the Appennines, (Monte Vettore being the highest at 2,476m). The park offers walks of all levels to some of the most delightful yet least discovered areas in the whole of Italy.

From the huge expanse of the Piano Grande, a vast natural plain surrounded by mountains to the Gola di Infernatio with it's stunning waterfalls and sheer rock faces, to the high mountain lake Lago di Pilato, where according to legend Pilate's body was dumped.

Legend tells us how Pontius Pilate, whilst awaiting execution, asked that fate decided his final resting place. His corpse was sent unescorted from the gates of Rome on a wagon. The oxen made their way to the Sibilline Mountains, straight up to the lake, where they dived in and disappeared. Small rare shrimps turn the lake pink in the summer months - some say it represents the blood of Pilate!

Flights

Fly to Ancona or Pescara (our nearest airports) from the U.K or Germany. These are aproximately a 90 minute drive from The Hideaway. Our next nearest airports are Rimini, Rome and Bologna, all served by Ryanair.

We suggest hiring a car to make the most of this beautiful area but if you do not fancy driving, we can arrange to pick you up from the airport (for an extra charge.

Rail and Ferry Links

From Northern Europe there excellent rail links, including the fast overnight trains and car trains. Our nearest train station is at Pedaso and our nearest port at Ancona has routes to Croatia and Greece.
