Description of the Amherst vacation guesthouse rental

VACATION LODGING FOR HORSE & Dog LOVERS, RIDERS AND HORSES! We are located 45 minutes south of Charlottesville,VA, at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains. $235.00 PER NIGHT PROVIDES YOU WITH A 3 BEDROOM, 2 ½ Bath, 2000+ square foot Barn/Villa that sleeps up to 8 people. It is located on a 186 Acre PRIVATE Estate with over 6 miles of hiking & riding trails. Your group would be the only guest on the farm during your stay. Your accommodations are over the 10 Stall Barn which houses the 3 resident horses. Guest can bring their own horses for an additional $30. per horse per night. You don't need to bring a horse to enjoy this property. Sit on the deck or patio to enjoy views of the Blue Ridge Mountains in complete privacy. We also offer Golf Cart rentals to ride around the estate trails for an additional fee. The battery operated cart allows you to view the numerous deer and turkey or enjoy taking a picnic out to the stream! We will provide a full refund on any cancellation received 7 days prior to your stay.
NEW IN 2013- INDIAN CREEK BED AND BREAKFAST- Offers lodging in the Main House -There are 4 Private Bedrooms @ $150 per night per room. (NO Children or Pets). Each room offers private bath, views, wireless internet service, & Continental Breakfast. One room offers a HD TV.

Area Information

Beautiful Pastoral and mountain views offer a quiet setting perfect for relaxing. There are over 20 wineries, to visit. The appalachian trail is only 12 miles away. The Blue Ridge Parkway is less than 30 minutes away and offers great drives. The natural bridge is less than an hour away. Charlottesville is 45 minutes and offers tours of Monticello, Michie Tavern and a great visitor center. Historic Lynchburg is 30 minutes away. Appomattox is 45 minutes. Wintergreen Ski Area is only 30 minutes away and offers TUBING! The farm is located in Lowesville, which is a small country village consisting of The Old store at Lowesville and Riverside Market. You can walk from the Barn Villa or take the golf cart to both of these stores. There is a country restaurant (Mountain View Restaurant) just 2 miles down the road that serves Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. We can dine inside or outside on their deck. Come relax and stay with us!

Other Vacation Rental Amenities

Indian Creek is a small horse farm located at the base of the Blue Ridge Mountains with a stream that runs thru the property. Guest can bring their own horses. Guest can also rent Golf carts and ride on the estate's private trails. There is a small market less than 1/4 of a mile you can walk or ride your horse to and also a country restaurant 2 miles away that serves B/L & Dinner. Wintergreen Ski Resort is only about 20 miles away, offering skiing in the winter and tubing in the summer.

Just like home!

Great place to stay if you love the country and horses and great place to stay if you don't. This place was great and the owners were great as well. Lots of room to enjoy nature with the trails and the horses. Close to town and big enough for all eight of us. We have already reserved it for 2014 when we come back for our next graduation from Liberty U.

My husband and I, along with a few of our friends, have made two trips to Indian Creek Bed and Stable and have loved each visit. It is the perfect weekend getaway for us and our horses! The accommodations are phenomenal, very spacious with ...wonderful views all around. The barn itself is gorgeous and Chris does an excellent job in helping us to take care of our horses while we are there. There is plenty to do on the property with over 180 acres of land to ride on and there are plenty of trails and back roads to try off the property as well! This is a great place to stay; weâ��ve already booked a third trip!
