big/1900 highsealing old details/design/art/luxury
A luxury and sunny apartment with a garden view on the backside.
Very modern and warm interior with a big and outspoken paintings and contemporary art. A spacious bedroom with two windows and a smaller 2 persons bedroom at the garden-side of the building. Small bathroom with shower and toilet. A modern kitchen and a spacious foyer. A very nice opportunity to experience Amsterdam from a beautiful apartment with an outspoken character.

Great Place - Close enough but off the path
December 2, 2008
We were 3 adults sharing this apartment while attending the International Documentary Festival, and we really loved the apartment. It's very tastefully decorated and comfortable, with plenty of room for repose in the large dining room and living room. It's one downfall is the tiny bathroom, but I think that's typical of apartment living in Amsterdam. The location was great for us, there was a lot to explore in this neighborhood. But it was a nice walk or short tram ride to the center. Nearby there were lots of turkish restaurants, but also pubs and bakeries and shops. Overall, we preferred something a bit off the typical tourist path, and we found this neighborhood to be quite convenient to the tourist attractions, but refreshingly 'genuine' to the urban experience of Amsterdam. We enjoyed our stay there and would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable place to stay.

We were met by our lovely host who did all he cold to make us welcome. This apartment is ideal for a family of up to 5 or two couples. Set a few minutes away from the hubbub of busy downtown Amsterdam it was an easy 10 minute bike ride to anything we wanted to see or alternately a bus/tram ride away. The apartment had many delightful perks; artistically decorated, lots of art books, great light from two sides. Compact & very well equipped kitchen with a terrific supermarket around the corner. Small details, like having olive oil, spices and balsamic vinegar so that we could make a nice salad for dinner. An espresso machine, gas range and so forth. It has a small bathroom shower, but what can you expect from a 100 year old apartment building? The wifi was a big help as we travelled with a laptop, but there was computer for use as well. I would be happy to spend another week or month there and would not hesitate to suggest this to friends or family. A fabulous overall experience.
the previous renters have always been very positively surprised by the spacious appartment and the interior. Also the close distance to the city, the big balcony and green view is a very nice experience.
Hope to welcome you soon!
