Vacation Rental Description

The apartment is a self-contained, 19th century townhouse with its own private entrance from the street. It is 800 square feet, plus a roof deck. It is on three whole floors, with the first floor the kitchen, the second floor the living room, and the third floor the bedroom. There are two bathrooms.

The apartment is fully and luxuriously equipped, complete will all sheets, duvet, towels, etc. The kitchen is also fully equipped with refrigerator, dishwasher, washer, dryer, microwave oven, gas stove, etc. The living room is equipped with TV (cable with 35 channels in various languages), radio, VCR, CD player, telephone, etc.

The apartment also has complimentary high-speed (1000Kbyte/sec) broadband internet connection.

The bedroom is large, and pampers two people. Both couches in the living room turn into beds.

The apartment itself is located right in the heart of Amsterdam, in the artistic Jordaan district, which is littered with caf鳬 restaurants, bars, galleries, and specialty shops. It is sort of like a laid-back "Greenwich Village" of Amsterdam. The apartment is situated on a side street, half a block from the canals, so it is very quiet at night and mornings.

What a wonderful way to stay in Amsterdam! We wanted to be in an interesting neighborhood, close to all the fun that this amazing city has to offer; and this apartment really delivered. The apartment had everything, and having a washer/dryer really came in handy. It is bright and comfortable, and the deck on the top floor is great. We will stay here again when we come back. A week is just not enough time! We were furnished with so much good information from the owner, they really thought of every question we might have had. Plenty of room, great beds, what else can we say? The only caveat would be the stairs... they are typical of the city, very steep. If you have someone who is unable to negotiate stairs, you may wish to try a hotel. But we loved them and enjoyed the extra fun it added to our stay. To sum up, it was better than we expected and it was a great base camp to explore Amsterdam. Peace!
