Description of the Amsterdam vacation apartment rental

The apartment is very light, modern and spacious.
- 75 square meters on the 3rd (top)floor (no elevator)
- A nice and sunny balcony at the back AND front of the house
- Brand new kitchen with ceramic stove, oven and fridge + freezer combination.
- Simple Bathroom with shower
- 5 minutes by bike to the city centre, 2 minutes walking to Amstel station.
- Smoking is allowed with open window/balcony doors. Owner doesn't smoke.

This apartment is located on the third floor of a large and tree lined street. By the 20's the legendary Berlage was supervising design of new, more liveable neighbourhood to the south-east "the Rivierenbuurt" eschewing symmetry in favor of wholeness. Nowadays the views vary from hour till hour: you will see children playing, older people cleaning their part of the street and yuppies coming back from work.

Amongst other charms the area has many nice little shops where some owners even know the names of their customers. The apartment is also very close to the popular area The Pijp with the Albert Cuyp market and its many restaurants, bars and shops.

The apartment is situated between Amsterdam RAI Conference Centre and Amstel train station, only 10 minutes from the heart of Amsterdam. Just a few blocks away the motorway A2 to Utrecht and the A10 (Exit S110) ring road starts. Central Station is at only 10-15 minutes travelling by bike [recommended], tram [line 4, 12 or 25] or metro [RAI or Amstel station].

In Amsterdam you're better off by bike, but if you bring your car you can park in front of the house or even better: at fifteen minutes walk you can park for free..

 Very Nice Apartment Near Amstel Station, May 16, 2008

The apartment is modern with nice furnishings throughout. Great stylish interior. Large fridge, modern kitchen. No W/D or dishwasher. Large supermarket 2 minutes walk. There's a few tram lines 1 minutes walk away. Amstel train station is only a few minutes farther. Takes about 15 minutes to central Amsterdam. Great place!

The apartment has easy access to tram, metro and bus to get around everywhere in the city. Clean and well equipped. Only drawback is 3 flights of stairs.

Two of us stayed at this apartment for 10 days. Everything was very clean, bright and comfortable - definitely suitable for two people and probably even three. It was a great experience - our first time renting an apartment for holiday. The owner was extremely nice and accommodating. It was very easy to get to the city center and the neighborhood where it was located was very nice with friendly people. We hope to return to Amsterdam and would definitely stay in this apartment again.
