This apartment has some great features, and some drawbacks. Great-- 1) The view from the living room overlooks 2 beautiful canals coming to a "T." 2) free wi-fi 3) little covered balcony off the kitchen overlooks the gardens of the inside of the city block. Big enough for 2 people to hang out on. 4) shower is newly tiled and nice. 5) We felt very safe renting 2 bicycles and locking them up on the street in front of the apartment each night. 6) Owner was totally hands off, and did not need to "check us out" at the end of the trip. Things that could be improved- 1) Kitchen dishes were all chipped and there were only tiny pots for cooking. Also the knives for cooking were ridiculously dull which matters, since a kitchen is why you want to be in a flat and not a hotel. 2) no spices except for salt- not even pepper! That was an added expense at the grocery store. 3) electric pot for heating water was moldy inside, and so we had to heat up pots of water for am coffee. 4) There is a machine that is a washer/dryer in one... but the dryer did not work at all and would not even run, which made is useless to have a washer/dryer at all. 5) couch in living room was extremely uncomfortable. 6) bedroom has white canvas curtains- so the room gets super bright as soon as the sun rises. You can't sleep in. 7) Gas water heater takes a while to get hot water to any faucet. 8) Owner uses scented laundry soap, scented toilet packets, scented dish soap... Gave us headaches.
