 Amazing experience., May 5, 2009
By Manuel Agus (Playa del Carmen, Mexico)
Me and 2 friends of mine, stayed there for queen's day, I have been in Amsterdam many times before, but after this experience, I will never stay in a hotel again. It is in a nice and quite neighborhood, only minutes away from the rush of the big party, there are wild swans and ducks leaving in the channel, and thy eat out of your hand from the terrace of the houseboat. I suggest to rent a bicycle for your stay in Amsterdam.

As a first-timer to amsterdam, it was hard to choose from all the options- not knowing locations or any idea of how accommodating a houseboat would be. And after spending weeks looking, I'm so glad that I went with Little Bear!!! Having spent My first 2 weeks in a tradional "barge" type houseboat, the warmth and open design of this houseboat was superior and Anno's services are outstanding...its clean & cozy, like a perfect combination of HOTEL & HOME. Spending 2 weeks touring amsterdam and returning to this house was a joy...to sit on the deck on a cool summer evening and watch the parade of locals boating & partying is almost as great as the swans and ducks that greeted us every morning. The bedroom is romantic & roomy, the kitchen & bath are cute (great colors), a nice dining area, fab little gas stove for heating and the working television is great for those nights when you just want to zone out and relax. Stop looking, this is your choice- but leave a week in august for Me!!!

We stayed here in 2006, July. The pictures don't do justice to the houseboat - it's sweet, pretty and clean. There was enough space for four of us - if two can bunk down in the sofa in the living space. Lots of ducks and swans floating by. Anno is very thoughtful and had everything in place. You can even do basic cooking. The only thing stopping it from a 5 rating is the location - it's central and accessible, but not the most charming street in A'dam. Everything else rocks.

Anno is 5 stars, the house is very well located. It was very nice to sit on the balcony watching all the swans and ducks passing by. If I go there again I'll stay on this houseboat for sure.

This lovely cozy houseboat is beautifully furnishes and is ideally located for both public transport on the Metro, and walking through the canals and along the Amstel. Anno is very hospitable and friendly, and there are lots of excellent and quirky guidebooks to enjoy during your stay on "Little Bear". With a fondue restaurant and a neighbourhood coffeeshop just round the corner, what more could you want? Highly rated and totally recommended - thanks for a great stay Anno! Amy, Brighton UK

The houseboat was the highlight of our trip. A great little place near everything but still a little off the beaten path. It was great to be on the water and get the Amsterdam houseboat experience. We had great weather considering the time of year, so we weren't too cold. The owner was extraordinarily helpful and friendly. We would definitely stay there again.
