Houseboat Arknoa with view on broad and active canal, facing the sunny side & 8 big trees, is located at 9 minutes walking distance West from Amsterdam Central Station and close to the Jordaan aerea/ the saturday and monday streetmarkets held there/ the Ann Frank house, the Haarlemmerstreet and dijk, and the large, busy Westerpark with restaurants and night life activities! (a farm/ tennis/ swinning for kids etc.)
(A map-of-location, the houseboat's location, will be sent to you on which you can see the lay-out of the 2 rooms). In both rooms there are internet plugs so you can get on the internet with your labtops.

This private houseboat, (with central heating and hot running water and great view over active canal but quiet at night), offers:
2 adjacent rooms with shared bathroom/shower with the innkeeper. (max. 4-5 p.)The rooms can also be booked individually:

The main larger studio room is:
the "Elephant room" with private entrance and waterfront view. (Max. 2-3p.)
It offers one XL bed for 2p. and a couch-bed for 1p., a king size table, tea and coffee-making facilities with T and coffee, salt, pepper, oil, sugar available/ A fridge, a radio; a hair dryer in the bathroom.
The studio room has 2 large windows, an accessible smaller terrace on the waterside and a rowing boat parked infront of the room for relaxing on the waters and chilling out in the sun... This rowboat may not leave the premises!
The Elephant room is large and sleeps maximum 3p. but is also ideal for couples.
Min. 3 nights and max. 7-8 nights.
Check in, 16:oo; Check out: 11.30am.
To deposit bags: phone in to see if innkeeper is then home. (Nobody behing de pc night and day!/ Only one innkeeper on board who is a busy artist! All paintings on board are from this captain!
Key-money/ a deposit of e50.- p.p. is requested. This will be returned when room is left tidy, beds striped, and garbage has been removed from the room. Cups & plates can be washed in innkeeper's kitchen.

For 1p., the price is e75.- p.night.
For 2 or 3p., the price is e 135.- p.night. excl. 5,5% tourist tax.
On special holidays one single extra fee of e20.- p.p will be required.
(P.ex.: On 'New Years Eve' and other special holidays, such as Gay Parade or Cannabis Cup.)

The "Nest room" is the smaller adjacent room next to the "Elephant room" and it offers an extra large bed for 2p. and a waterfront view.

The "Nest room" with waterfront view, can also be booked by travellers wishing to spend only one night in town as this room is too small for lounging about.
The price is € 85.- for 1 or 2p. (min. 3 nights).
Excl. 5,5 % dutch tourist tax.

North West of the Prinsengracht; at 9 min. from Amsterdam Central Station; close to the Haarlemmerstraat where the supermarket (open daily from 8am to 10pm), is at 5 min walking distance from Arknoa. The houseboat is close to the Jordaan area; (Saturday and Monday street markets. The large park, the "Westerpark" is also close by for biological meals, e8.-, at the farm house. The center of town is in front of Central Station at 9 min. walking distance from the houseboat!

The houseboat's waterfront looks over a large and busy canal to the West (setting sun) and to 8 grand trees! After the buzz of the day, peace settles in on the neighboorhood for a good nights sleep on the waters...It is a safe area and bycicles can also be rented close by as well as motorboats.
