Too Cute!! Cottage with that Olde Florida Charm. NEW on market with NEW HEATED PRIVATE POOL. Bring your boat the neighborhood boat ramp just across street. Not a busy ramp, only for this street and trailers go back to the house. We also have a fenced in area for your trailer. 2 Bedrooms w/ 1 1/2 baths. Cottage has a large livingroom
w/55in HD TV + Wi FI. Master bedroom has HD TV and
a great view overlooking tropical pool. Sunroom also overlooks pool with Queen sofa bed. Large screened
Lanai overlooks pool with table & chairs + comfey sofas.
The beach is a short stroll away with Free Trolley stop on
the way. Fully equipted kitchen with dishwasher. Also
full size washer & dryer. We have 4 adult bikes, beach
wagon, beach chairs, beach towels, cooler + New gas grill
all for your enjoyment. Free long distance service in USA.

Area Information

PURPLE PARROT is on a quite residential street with private boat ramp, just for the residence on this street. It also has a private dock and the open Bay is a few seconds down the canal. The Manatee Public Beach & Beach Cafe
are just a short stroll away. The Island grocery store (Publix Super Market)is very convenant and just a few minutes away, also a CVS.Pharmancy. Skinny's Hamburgers a local favorit for lunch, is noted for the BEST burgers on the Island, is minutes away.

Spring Break

April 17, 2013

We stayed at the Purple Parrot for a week during spring break. Just our luck that it was one of the coldest March weeks in Florida history! The heated pool saved our vacation. Even though it was too cold and windy most days for the beach, we were still able to swim every day. When it did warm up enough, the beach was only a short walk away. The house came with beach chairs, cooler and a cart for hauling, which worked out great. Even with the cooler weather, we didn't spend much time indoors because the back patio area was quiet, private and comfortable. The house itself was very colorful, and important for us, clean. The house came with all the supplies we needed for the week, other than food and drinks. The house is located on a street that was very quiet, but it was still close to restaurants, groceries, and shopping. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay.

Great Family Vacation!!!

This was our first family trip to Florida, and we loved the Island and the Purple Parrot! The cottage was better than expected, with large, clean rooms, and fully equipped with all we needed. The cottage was a short walk to the beach and the trolley stop, which we used every day to explore the island. The cottage is in a great location to explore both the north and south ends of the island in a short trolley ride. We loved everything about this trip and can't wait to come back! Would definitely rent the purple parrot again!

Loved Our Stay

We liked dealing with Sheila. Loved the location on a quiet residential street. Easy walk to the beach, trolley stop, and grocery store. Close to the library and close to the Holmes Beach small business area. Cottage is well equipped, big washer & dryer. bikes, beach wagon, beach chairs & umbrella. Kitchen small but has all of the necessary appliances. Spent our time in the sun room and lanai and by the pool. The only negative, we would have preferred a king bed in the master and the floor squeaks in the hallway. Our first visit to Anna Maria Island, we will return.
