Description of the Annapolis vacation home rental
You'll love the stunning 180-degree view of the South River, just off the Chesapeake Bay near Annapolis. The location is incredible. Just six miles from Annapolis and the United States Naval Academy. The home is 15 miles from Baltimore/Washington International Airport and 40 minutes to Washington, D.C. (15 miles to the nearest Metro stop). The home feels so secluded yet it is just minutes away from great restaurants, shopping and marinas. The house is in a quaint, quiet neighborhood, perfect for evening strolls and morning walks. You immediately forget how close you are to so many major conveniences, Route 50 and 97.
The large entertainment deck overlooks the South River (great for viewing Annapolis fireworks). It's perfect for cookouts, relaxing with a good book and savoring your morning coffee. Stairs lead down to your own private pier and boat lift. You'll love crabbing off the pier, swimming, sunbathing or just watching the abundant waterfowl. A community boat launch is also available as is a community beach and pier.
The house is beautifully decorated with hardwood floors, open architecture and waterviews from the livingroom/kitchen and master bedroom. Take a five minute walk or boat ride to Mike's and enjoy steamed crabs and an ice cold beer from the outside deck.
This vacation get-away is perfect for Naval Academy football game weekends, year-round vacations, family reunions and even serves as a quiet retreat after a day of sightseeing in Washington, D.C., and Baltimore.
There are few parts of the country with so many wonderful things to do so close at hand. Of course, there is Annapolis, with the Maryland State Capitol, the U.S. Naval Academy, Eastport, street after street of historic homes and the lovely, scenic city harbor. The Chesapeake Bay lifestyle is renown for boating, fishing, crabbing, swimming, waterskiing, jetskiing and just relaxing with friends and family with cold beverages and a bushel of steamed crabs. Thomas Point Park and Quiet Waters Park offer more family fun featuring unsurpassed views of the Bay.
Day trips to Washington, D.C., are easy to do, and visitors there are rewarded with so many national museums, monuments and historical attractions which, in most cases, are free. Baltimore is another easy day trip, with the Inner Harbor, Fells Point, Little Italy, and plenty of Orioles and Ravens game action. Drive across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge and head for the beaches of Maryland and Delaware, which are closer than 100 miles away.
You'll run out of time before you run out of things to do.

Reviews for this vacation home rental in Annapolis, Maryland
"We did have a wonderful time at the house and signed the guest book in the house. The view is spectacular from the deck and several of us “early birds” were up by 6 a.m. to see the sun rise. Tuesday and Wednesday the sunrises were unbelievable. I think you found a great property there, and hopefully, renters will care for it and keep it nice. If we plan another trip to Annapolis, we will definitely rent your house. We just loved it and felt so happy we had found it." -Barb
"Your cottage is sooooo cute. We had a great time with another family that came along with us. We brought the boat as well. Took a trip into Annapolis (by boat and by car) and did some skiiing and tubing right in front of your house. It was nice to get away from the rat race for a couple of days." -Vicki
"Our friends and Arlee and I very much enjoyed your Annapolis house! What a lovely view and wonderful accommodations." - Tricia
"We had a wonderful time. Thank you very much. You really have a beautiful place, excellent location and really well kept. We would be very happy to return some time!" Johanna and Patrick
"The stay was wonderful, and your home helped to make the trip more comfortable for all. Although we did not spend a lot of time there most days, it was great to come home to such an inviting place on the river. We had great weather, and even the rain the last three days was a welcome. We were not quite prepared for the smaller bedroom downstairs and the double bed was a little difficult for the couple that stayed in there, but other than that it was fabulous. We loved the time on the deck, and the upstairs bedroom with the view was an amazing setting. Your directions for everything were perfect. We will keep this in mind for the future when we are on the east coast." -Cliff
"We had a great weekend in Annapolis. Your home on the river is very comfortable as well as beautiful. We had pertfect weather; cool but sunny. We went on an historical house tour Saturday evening in West Annapolis which was very interesting. Thanks again." -Vicki
"Weather was gorgeous - we really enjoyed just lazing around on the deck watching the water and enjoying the peace and quiet! Thanks for sharing your home with us." -Connie
"Our stay was great! We loved the house. Thanks for helping us have a happy reunion." -Dee
"I just want to thank you for letting us rent your house in Maryland. It was a beautiful place. We really enjoyed staying there. It was great that you have the place well equipped with anything we might need during our stay. I also emjoyed the view overlooking the river, especially in the morning when the sun was coming up. It was amazing. If we are ever in need of a place to stay in Maryland, I will sure give you a call." - Debbie
"I just wanted to tell you that we loved your house and had a very relaxing time! What wonderful views and that neighborhood is just precious. I can see why you might be thinking of retiring there. Thanks again and we would love to come back and visit again. We are on the east coast about every three months, and your place was a nice way of visiting friends from Baltimore without having to go there." -Lorraine
"It was Great!!! The house was perfect for our family! It rained almost the entire week, but it didnt matter as we were not cooped up in some hotel room but comfortable in your home. We really enjoyed our stay and will hopefully be able to stay again next time we return to Maryland." -Denise
