Description of the Annapolis Royal vacation home rental
Opened in July, this spacious and enchanting waterfront home is located just a seven-minute drive from Annapolis Royal, Nova Scotia. Secluded and quiet, the property overlooks a wide expanse of protected farmlands with exquisite views of the Annapolis River-Basin and forested landscape. Built in 1822 by a shipwright, the house is surrounded by 60 acres in a park-like setting with mature trees, open lawns and meadows. With its welcoming, pastoral charm and historic coastal surroundings, the property is an ideal setting for couples or small groups of visual artists, writers, birders or those looking to unwind and replenish in a beautiful natural setting. This idyllic and private retreat feels like it's worlds away.

The light and airy interior is tastefully decorated with an eclectic mix of new and antique furniture and wonderful artwork and includes a well-equipped kitchen for home-cooked meals, comfortable sitting areas and cozy, sun-dappled bedrooms.

A walking trail through the property wends through a birch grove leading to a picnic area, an open hillside overlooking the river valley and down a gentle slope to the shore and dykelands.

The property is ideally situated within minutes of the farmers’ market, art galleries, gardens, shops and restaurants of Annapolis Royal. The area is home to walking and hiking trails and a gorgeous national park, Kejimkujik, a scenic 35-minute drive away.

September and October bookings available. The fall palette here in the western Annapolis Valley is exquisite.
