Relax and enjoy the beauty of nature in this two-story log style home nestled between Antonito, Colorado and Chama, New Mexico. Spectacular mountain views will inspire adventure and quiet reflection. Walk to the Conejos River for fishing and wildlife viewing. Ride the nearby Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Narrow Gauge Railroad, the longest and highest narrow gauge railroad. Climb the tallest dunes in North America at the Great Sand Dunes National Park. Explore the nearby forest and meadows on one of numerous hiking trails. Or soak up some sun in Taos, New Mexico—a city full of music, art, film, and fine food. And don’t forget a camera! This is a journey you will want to share and remember for a lifetime.

The Red Bear Restaurant is open the last weekend in May through November. It has a convenience store, lounge and bar.

Taos, N.M., is about a 70 minute drive and Sante Fe is about a three hour drive (or less) from the cabin. Pagosa Springs is around 1 1/2 hours and Durango is less than three hours.

We got what we were looking for a veiw, log house, clean, peaceful, wild animals, river nearby and more. We were in the area to put our son in college at Adam State in Alamosa. The drive was about 50 minuite from cabin to college. After site seeing at the end of the day we all were ready to go back to the cabin. I loved the veiw from the master bed room window! It would be wonderful if there was a deck off the master bedroom and dining room. With a roof over top of deck. I wish we had spend more time at the cabin. Deron was great to work with and seem very down to earth. He was helpful with information that we needed. I would stay again and again! Our cell phones and lap top had no reception. There is a phone in the cabin that we could used with our calling card. We needed more than a week at this log cabin. I started missing it two days before leaving. Thank you, Glenda
