Our property is approx. 10 minutes outside the city limits of Apache Junction. This is a quiet rural area. You may be lucky enough to see deer and wild pigs. The property is located just minutes from Shopping, reasturants, medical facilities.
Historic Apache Trail: Take a drive along the Apache Trail you will drive past Goldfield Ghost Town (authentic mining town where you can get out and eat/shop/explore or take a short train ride), Canyon Lake (visit the restaurant overlooking the lake) where you can take the Dolly Steamboat tour or rent your own pontoon boat. End at Tortilla Flats and have a bite to eat or quench your thirst (they do not serve hard liquor). If you continue along the trail note that the road turns into gravel a few miles after Tortilla Flats. The trail continues on to Apache Lake and ends at Roseveldt Lake. This is a very scenic drive but is not for the weak of heart. It will take you approx. 2 hours to drive the trail all the way to Roseveldt not counting the stops along the way!
Gold field Ghost town: Just 5 minutes from the house. The Mammoth Steakhouse and Saloon has a large outdoor patio that you should make a priority to watch the sun set upon the Superstition Mountains. Drinks are a little pricey but (unless you drink beer then ask for on tap beer) it’s definitely worth the experience.
Old Town Scottsdale: Take a day or an afternoon drive to Scottsdale (approx 40 min drive take Hwy 202 west to Hwy 101 north to Indian School take a left and drive to Old Town Scottsdale. Eat at the numerous restaurants, stroll down the sidewalks and shop till you drop.

Arizona Joe’s otherwise known as A.J.’s to the locals, just minutes from the house. Specializing in Broasted Chicken (order a plate of chicken wings AWESOME) Family style dining, large menu, live country music on the weekends and even horse betting (during the day). Friendly atmosphere! Go early to get a table.

Dirtwater Springs: Bar/restaurant Family Style, very good food, large menu with daily specials.
Mining Camp Restaurant: Limited menu, no bar, serves family style.
Skies’: Bar/restaurant has country music on the weekends, specialty is barbeque ribs (very good), large menu from sandwiches to steak. In the winter they serve Buffet style meals.
There are numerous shops and eating places off Hwy 60 and Signal Butte. There is a Kohl’s, Wal-Mart, Ulta, Best Buy, Ross, Chili’s, Native New Yorker (sports bar), IMAX, and a whole lot more. Located approx. 20 min from the house.
Gold Canyon: You can golf, shop and eat. If you like the old style atmosphere and good food check out the Garage Pub. You won’t find fancy here you throw your peanut shells on the floor. It’s located right on Hwy 60 in Gold Canyon.
