North Fork home with forever farm view (#25501)

Write a review We spent a week in this comfortable house with four adult couples and a baby. The house is in a great, quiet location close to plenty of vinyards, roadside farm stands, restaurants, and the Tanger Outlet mall. The outside backyard patio / gazebo area was very well-maintained and was perfect for family meals, entertaining, and relaxing. The inside of the house was comfortable and warm -- it felt like home right away. The bedrooms were nicely decorated, and each room had its own TV. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The bathrooms could use some updating, but Bruce, the owner, indicated that he's doing some bathroom remodeling later this year. Bruce was very responsive and easy to work with through the whole rental process. We'll definitely stay in this house again next time we're in the area. If you want a vacation that is restful, relaxing in a beautiful location, this is the place. We were 6 adults who had different agendas. Some of us went to the beach,(which is 5 minutes away), some to the wineries, some to greenport and shopping. (tanger outlets). There is so much to do, if you want to or you can just relax in the beautiful backyard, barbeque and sit in the amazing Gazebo and read. The scenery out here is great. The TV's were awsome. At night everyone can retreat to their rooms and watch big screen TV. We had a wonderful vacation and may be planning to return again soon. The owner is very pleasant and easy to communicate with and keeps this house extremely clean.(My only recommendation is a smaller table in the kitchen with extensions if needed.) We spent a bucolic week long vacation in this house with six adults and four children, all under five. Everyone loved it -- the adults spent hours talking in the gazebo, grilling up freshly caught fish and chasing the kids around the immense yard and the children (all city raised), didn't want to leave all that wonderful outdoor space. The kitchen was a little tight with all those people, but the rest of the house handled the numbers beautifully. The adults could easily retreat to the privacy of their rooms and never feel like they were in a house filled with kids and parents. It was perfect and we hope to come back again! My husband and I stayed at this house with my husband's family after our wedding. The house is plenty big enough for 10 people. The outdoor space is huge. While it was too cold to do many outdoor activities during our stay, the house is well equiped for outdoor barbques and games. The owner keeps the house very clean and is pleasant and easy to deal with. Our security deposit was returned promptly. Also, the location is great. There are many vineyards nearby. My husband and I vacationed here with our two married daughters, husbands and children. It was a wonderful house with lots of room. The yard is fantastic with the gazebo and hidden area in the back. We had many other family members visit since we were there to celebrate a 90th birthday of my husband's mother. They lived in the area but it was our place that everyone congregated. It was large, very convenient to everything and the owner is especially helpful. It was a truely wonderful time. Five couples stayed at this house for a weekend. The house was beautiful - 5 bedrooms, 2 baths, full kitchen and central AC. But the best feature was the yard. It was so large that the girls could play bocce ball while the cuys tossed around the football. The patio with table and chairs and awesome gazebo stole the show. It was a wonderful place to unwind after a busy day of golf, spa and wine tasting. The hammock was so relaxing. The location was great as well. The Main Road is 2 minutes away with farms stands as well as all the stores you need. The proximity to the beach makes this a great location for a beach weekend too. If you want a house that is close to all but feels like you have left it all behind, you should stay here. The homeowner is great to deal with - my deposit was returned promptly and was very accommodating. I would recommend this house to anyone - we are thinking about making this our new summer retreat!!
